I know pink bunnies aren't really your thing, but here's something to remind you of me when I'm not there. And to say thank you for everything you helped me with before I could get anything!
Aww, look at that! Thank you for letting me know, I will message her, immediately.
I was told that it is a romantic holiday, a time for frolic and cheer, with lights, pine trees, and snow. Most of all, you buy buckets of fried chicken, and eat with your family.
And you always give gifts to each other during that time, but I always thought it was simply on the day! Ruby must be doing something extra special, I suppose...
[ It's not the first time Bernie is giving Hubert something out of nowhere, so she's not as nervous as she could be. Maybe he won't question her about it this time? Or, well, he won't be able to question her right away if she has it delivered. (She feels very smart for this.)
So, she has it delivered! A package arrives at her friends' apartment, containing a few other gifts for Ferdinand and Dorothea. The one that's addressed to Hubert is a gift-wrapped journal. Its pages are clean and lined, and the cover has some flowers hand-stitched onto the center; at least one should be familiar to him, because it's the same flower she made a pin to give to him at home. Overall, it's not very fancy, but she hopes it's... presentable. Hopefully. She doesn't know. Maybe it sucks. It's fine, she sends everything before she second-guesses herself too badly.
Inside the journal is a card: ]
I thought about it, and I think this is probably more useful than a pin would be, so I think you'd like it more! I hope you find some use for it here.
[And once he had gotten the gift, and looked through it, he sent her a message!]
My dearest Bernadetta, I quite enjoy the idea of the practicality of the journal over the pin as well, and I'm pleased you also thought of this. I'll repay the favor- soon. When you least expect it. Do watch your back.
[he meant it sincerely but it sounded so. menacing.]
[Sometime after Hubert had received and opened his lovely gift from Ruby on the eighth day of Christmas, he would enter his room, turn on the lights, and find Ferdinand propped on his stomach on the bed like he was waiting for him, fully naked save for a skimpy piece of lingerie barely covering his ass.]
Surprise! What do you think of my gift to you, Hubert?
[The snowfall and the frigid temperatures have gotten so intense that it's hard to even coordinate his fingers to key out words on the device. But first and foremost, he's a bit worried. It's getting truly dangerous out here, so numbing that it's even starting to get to his brain.]
Are you home? It is cold. Wherever you are please stay imside
[On Valentine's Day, he gets a package delivered with some haphazardly made chocolate (bitter, of course), with a note that says:
"Happy Valentine's Day!! I made these for you, but... there's something else, too. Whenever you want, you can do whatever you want to me. I'm giving you me for Valentine's Day. Do whatever you want that's gonna be fun for both of us, okay?
[ Bernie delivers this in-person, but is also too shy to do it herself, so... She makes sure to leave it in his room in Dorothea's apartment during her latest, if rare, visit. It's nothing special, just a small box tied up with a satin ribbon.
Inside, among layers of delicate colored tissue, is a new pair of unlined gloves (black) and, under that, an iris made of beads and thread.
Hidden under that is a simple card, scrawled in purple ink and Bernadetta's unmistakable script: ]
Happy Birthday, Hubert! I hope you find the gloves useful, and I'm sorry this pin took so long. I think I should have given one to you ages ago, but things kept getting in the way... Sorry! :(
I hope you have a good birthday! Please make sure to eat something delicious today!

DAY 1 OF THE GIFTENING: PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE
It would appear that you have a gift waiting for you at home! It is from Ruby. How nice of her!
By the way, what is Christmas? Do you know?
:)

GIFTENING: DAY 2
You are going to have to let me know how well she did in her selection. Not everyone can cater to your refined taste for the bitter brew, after all.
[Not like he can!!!]

I was not expecting such a gift! My my...
[Hubert reached out to place a hand on Ferdinand's cheek (on his face) and he smirked down at his partner.]
Did you get this idea because of Ruby? I'm certainly not complaining.
